Ezio has kept himself busy the past few days, pulled away a little as the hours pass, and let his heart grieve in the only way he knows how. He is quiet, withdrawn, speaks when spoken to, but does not offer advice or stories if the situation does not call for it.
It's easy to tell that he is bothered, and even moreso when he tells those who ask that he "will be fine in due time."
So when Alastair follows and actually speaks to him, it catches him by surprise. Not that it shows much, beyond a turn of his head and a slight nod.]

What remains is a few items-the weapons Ichigo has been trained in rest in a neat pile on the bed, and on the desk nearby lies the familiar black blade of Zangetsu, and a letter on top of that with Ezio's name on it.

If you're reading this, then that means I've gone home. I'm guessing that what this means, anyway-and not like I'm permanently dead or something. And I'm also hoping that the gods or whatever know to put this out for you when I'm gone, because I don't want to be an asshole and not leave anything behind.
Anyway, I don't expect to leave, but I've had way too many friends suddenly just be gone, and I don't want to do that to you. So...I'll just say what I need to.
We've...been through a hell of a lot together, you know. I've been mad at you and I'm pretty damn sure there were times you wanted to just hit me. And you've made me the butt of your jokes more times than I can count. ...There were some bad times, but thankfully there was more minor annoyances than those. More than that, though, we've had some pretty awesome moments together. I may not have laughed much, but you always did cheer me up. ...Well, maybe not always.
And...even if I forget what happens in asgard when I go back, I
