[So consider the feed off and consider Connor outtie. He makes his way through the streets quickly and silently, hood up and taking back streets when he can.
When he arrives it is with slow steps, slipping inside with one last glance over his shoulder.
[The fact that Connor comes in with carefully considered steps, head turning to watch for pursuers... it unnerves the Italian, eyes immediately snapping to where the other assassin is, remaining alert. He nods when the other sees him, stepping out from behind the counter and moving towards the back.]
This way.
[It's a silent walk to the Bureau, one that's different from before, but should seem familiar. The same that could be found when he spoke to Connor about the Creed, and why it was important to keep it. He has forgone the casual and now is the Mentor. If the other says there is a problem, he trusts that it's something much more than a simple job or issue. Especially if he's brought it directly to him.]
[Connor does not hesitate in following him, walking with firm and purposeful strides, as always. He waits until they have settled into the room and lets the silence fill him briefly. It allows him to collect the thoughts that have amassed within his mind into a coherent sentence. Or three. Or five. Who knows. The words like to take their sweet time falling into place, however, but it can't be helped.]
... It is about a new comer... by the name of Haytham Kenway.
[Ezio doesn't move when Connor begins to speak. He lets him take his time, allowing the silence to give him the space and the quietness needed to explain what needs to be said.]
[Connor ponders how to phrase this. There is no easy way to tell the Mentor that "this man is the Templar Grand Master and my father" it simply wouldn't come so naturally. However, it has to, it has to at this moment, or at least within this conversation or else it will be minutes, days to late to tell him. The sooner the better and he knows it. To leave Haytham up to his own devices, for him to bury himself in with intrigue and such (perhaps) would be too risky. The only one who knows him truly for what he is... is Connor. He must play his part, he must be even warier, and he must take responsibility for the trouble and commotion that wreaks havoc in his own world--now brought to Asgard.]
A Templar Grand Master...
[There, he said it.
But the last part does not come out so easily, and simply lingers in the air.]
The second he hears that, Ezio visibly bristles, back going rigid and head snapping in the other's direction. He says that their enemy is here. Here. In Asgard. A Templar is within the city.
What follows next is a slew of Italian curses, low and almost inaudible, but his eyes are sharp, like knives digging into an unseen target. His voice finally addresses Connor, and it's darker than before.]
You are certain of this?
[Confirmation of the statement, and while he knows better there is always some part of him that hopes for less trouble, especially when he expects this now.]
And during that time, Ezio just stares. His brain fumbles over such a simple sentence- four words- yet they shatter such a solid view on what he determines on facing right and wrong. The boy is an Assassin, yet his father is a Templar.
He can't imagine what it must mean for Connor.
Finally, finally, he breathes out his nose, closes his eyes, and speaks in a level tone.]
Mi dispiace.
[A pause, as he now must take this all into consideration and careful precautions.]
Then what would you have us do? You know the danger his being here presents.
( voice )
Of sorts.
( voice )
[A pause.]
Come by, if you are able.

That's all he needs: Haytham following him.]

There is one other thing that I must... mention.

[Short, quick. Hearing that there is a Templar is bad enough, Ezio is not certain he is going to take anything else well right now.]

He is my father.

[Connor looks only slightly uncomfortable.]
Nothing rash, as you say. Watch him. We must be cautious. Careful.

[Cesare, for one, was smarts- but he was also fucking crazy. Roderigo was smarts, and not so much crazy.
But the people he had working for him... (u n s u r e)]
What do you believe he will try here, Connor? You, out of all of us, know him and his motives best.

[He looks terribly thoughtful. Too thoughtful. His brow is drawn over rather tightly as well.]
It is best if, for the time being, we avoid being followed.
[A pause.]
I will take care of the rest.
[I will try.]
